To evaluate audit firms’ proposals and send a recommendation for audit engagement to the Board of Directors, review the audit and management report, and report findings to the Board of Directors.
To determine the Continuing Education needs of the SWFLN members, recommend Continuing Education activities, and an overall Continuing Education program for SWFLN.
To stay informed on statewide library issues, and particularly MLC issues; to make recommendations to the SWFLN Board of Directors regarding the annual MLC legislative platform; and to encourage staff and colleagues to contact legislators and the Governor’s office in support of the MLC legislative platform when appropriate.
To plan and participate in an active membership drive to increase the number of members, both Institutional Members and Personal Affiliates, for SWFLN.
To compile a Slate of Officers and Personal Affiliate Representatives when applicable for the upcoming year, and provide nominees for vacancies as needed.
This adhoc committee develops policies and procedures to address personnel matters.
To develop program and meeting content for Southwest Florida Library Network Membership Meetings.
To determine resource sharing potential among SWFLN members in general, and produce an outline of resource sharing projects and programs to be investigated. To evaluate the viability of a network among the member libraries for interlibrary loan of serial articles within the network and beyond.
