About
Many SWFLN members have asked about help in creating an alternative regional marketing effort to take the place of national collaborations that are no longer available. Members of the Communications and Marketing Interest Group put their heads together and came up with National Treasures: Celebrating America’s Public Libraries. Running from April 19-25, each day of the week has it’s own sub-theme:
- Monday: Local Authors/Publications
- Tuesday: Library Staff Appreciation Day
- Wednesday: Outreach Programs and Partners
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday
- Friday: Red, White and Blue Freedom Friday
The heavy conceptual and design lifting was done by Claire Myers (Charlotte County Library System) and Andrew Meyer (Collier County Public Library) along with valuable input from Linda Waters (DeSoto County Library) and Kristin Van Olst (Sanibel Public Library).
The group created a flyer for anyone to use (with room to insert your library logo!) as well as a sticker that SWFLN is producing for you to hand out to customers. Members can pick up supplies of the sticker at SWFLN Staff Development Day on April 7. If you aren’t able to attend Staff Development Day, please reach out to us and we will deliver your stickers to you.
