People will have fast, easy access to regional, state, and worldwide information resources through Southwest Florida libraries. Key stakeholders, funders, and the general public will be aware of the value of libraries to the quality of life, economic development, and education for Southwest Florida residents.
Through the power of cooperation, SWFLN helps member libraries deliver better, faster service. It is the mission to provide library members with cost-effective sharing of library materials, staff training and education, and to help libraries make well-informed technology decisions.
The Southwest Florida Library Network enhances and promotes library services in Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Hendry, Lee, and Monroe counties by:
- encouraging interlibrary cooperation among all libraries in the service area, including materials, facilities, and local experts;
- assessing member needs, providing training and education to keep members informed and current;
- promoting professional relationships and partnerships; and
- monitoring trends and demonstrating innovative technologies.
