Hello SWFLN members and friends.
As you may know, your LSTA grant was FULLY FUNDED and is currently being spent in this fiscal year!  We are already working very hard and making plans to increase your training funds so that you are better prepared to serve your patrons.
Retaining, and hopefully increasing your training dollars, relies heavily on your taking advantage of the events we plan for you. Even if you are unable to be part of our half day, if not full day, training opportunities, we encourage you make your voices be heard, and make use of the types of trainings you are able to attend.  Because we are trying to facilitate your being able to take advantage of the training workshops, we are scheduling the events (when possible) to be two-part learning opportunities.
Our Continuing Education Survey for 2015 has been prepared and can be accessed through the link below.  PLEASE take a few minutes to help us prepare a strong grant application to best help you and your fellow library staff in Southwest Florida.  The information that we compile from your input is vital to the grant application process.
Please remember that your funding depends on your voice being heard.  By participating in this very important survey, we can be sure to include your thoughts and needs as we prepare your grant application.  Please click on the link above so that we have time to investigate the needs and request adequate funding to meet your requests.
And, we’d love it if you forwarded it and shared it with your    co-workers, volunteers, and anyone else who is a stakeholder in SWFLN’s Training Program.  And, of course, it only takes a few, short minutes to give us the valuable input we need to write your LSTA Grant for the next cycle, but more importantly to plan appropriate training opportunities attuned to your needs.
Please know that we, at SWFLN, are very happy to have such supportive members and friends.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, requests for clarification, or any suggestions.  We are at YOUR service!
